Wow what a year we have had in Homebase 10 this year!! It has been great getting to know all of you this year and I will definitely be sad to see my first class move on, but I know that you will continue to Strive for Success in 2014.
We have investigated a number of really interesting things this year. In term 1 we looked at what it meant to be a Clearview Learner. Term 2 had us taking a look at different ways to insulate things and keep warm. In term 3 we had an awesome time working together for the Buskers Festival. And this term we researched all about wildlife and conservation with animals.
Anyway, drop a comment below and tell everyone what was your highlight (best part of the year) and what you are looking forward in next year.
Well done everyone on a positive and fun year and I will see you all around the school grounds next year!

Mr G.

Hi guys!

The link below will take you to some of those coordinate games we were investigating this week. The fossil game is called Dino Dig.

Write a comment about any game you found and what was good about it.

Hi everyone! While Callum goes away for a holiday he will be posting up blog comments on his own personal blog, telling us everything that he gets up to.
It would be great if we could jump on and have a look at what he is doing and leave a sensible comment. (Don't forget spelling and punctuation!!!)

Click here to check it out.

Right guys term 3 is upon us!! We have a lot of new and interesting things that we will be investigating this term.
I (Mr Galland) am looking forward to developing our writing skills this term, so we publish pieces of work that we are all proud of.

What are you excited about this term? Why?
Drop a comment below and respond appropriately to other students comments. (Don't forget your capitals and punctuation!)

We have been doing workshops in maths and for writing. They have been great and very exciting. All of us in Homebase ten have been enjoying it so much. Please write a message about how cool these work shops have been.

In Homebase 10 we have been making heat insulators. Hear are some epic photos of some of them
That is how awesome they are

Hi guys,

Callum has been very busy with his homelearning. Take a look at his blog on the link below and see what he's been up to. Great stuff Callum, you'll have to teach us how to do this!!

Recently, Homebase 10 (and the rest of Clearview Primary!!) competed successfully in the school cross country. We had been training for this for over 4 weeks at school and at home, and we set some goals that we wanted to achieve on the day.
Fortunately the rain managed to stay away for the day, and we all got out and tried our best, and did ourselves, and Homebase 10 proud.

A special mention to those who came in the top 3 in their race.
Kelsey and William came 1st and 2nd respectively in the Year 4 boys.
Amy and Kayla came 1st and 3rd in the Year 3 girls race. Well done guys!!!

If I have missed anybody out please let me know and I will promptly fix it up!

In the Upper Junior Team we are investigating  Planet Earth & Beyond for Inquiry, for the end of Term one.  I wonder what we know, or think we know about Space and the Solar System??

Drop by and leave a comment telling everyone something that you know, or have found out through a book or

Not long ago Clearview Primary was lucky enough to have International V8 Supercar driver Greg Murphy and a few of his friends drive down to school and have a chat about what it takes to reach your goals and get to the top.
Some of us in Homebase 10 were lucky enough to receive a book or a poster, with some EVEN getting an autograph from the drivers!  As you can see from the picture Homebase 10 had a great time and the students of Clearview Primary had an amazing time out in the afternoon sun.
